This donut (nonfunctional / sculptural) teapot is thrown on a wheel, Raku fired and is hollow on the inside. I use western style Raku involving removing the piece from the kiln while glowing red and placing it into a metal container with combustable materials. Once the materials ignite the container is closed. This process individualises the piece creating its own unique makings and personality.
